The Holly Month Of Ramadhan

The month of Ramadhan is the 9th month in the Islamic Calendar. Its called The Holly month because the Holly Book of Qur'an was revealed in the same month. Muslims should observe fasting in this month which should start from sunrise until dawn.
In Mombasa, the residents cited the crescent shaped moon which indicated the starting of The Holly Month. During this month, we find that people mostly help the needy and the poor by providing food and water for free in the mosques after the Maghrib prayer. Our Governor, Hon. Hassan Joho is also helping the poor by distributing water and dates to them in Likoni area. This is seen as before dawn, there are men who are giving out a bottle of water and a packet of dates before entering the ferry.
This month usually comes with its blessings and mercy. Variety of food is cooked at home and people invite each other to go and break their fast at their places. I was personally invited to my aunt's place in Nyali where the whole family came together and enjoyed the food.
Ramadhan is a peaceful month with lots of awards from the Almighty when any good is done. Ramadhan Mubarak and Saum Maqbul to all my sisters and brothers.
